The English Foreword to this book says,"We are delighted to present the Eshi 100-Contemporay Japnese illustration exhibiton,in which leading artists from Japease pop culture will present new works on the theme of Japan.

The work in this exhibition differs from the traditional concept of art,like the Ukiyoe that were so loved by the common people of the Edo period,it capture the hearts of people living today,and has won world wide praise praise.We will present works by over 100 modern-day Eshi,all of which have been created on the same theme."
