The preface says,"The tradition of Japanese dyeing is various.If you trace the history of it,you will find many fabulous and beautiful deisgns are still exsisting.If you try to create a dyeing work,it is not enough to look for something new outside of Japan.I think you need to study the history from a modern point of view and moerover develop something new in them.I believe one of the ways of finding the beauty of Kimono will be only accomplished by this kind of attitude."

As preface says,it is for Kimono Designs.Plate is pasted on every other pages.

Originally,this set was composed of 20 volumes or so.Unfortunately,Only volume 1 is missing.But great ref book for you!
